The best thing for blemishes....ever

Okay so lets say your like me and can't help but pick at your blemishes every time you get them(this also works for any other abrasion). Here are some easy steps to help ease the healing time.

Step 1 Cleanse:
Wash your face or affected area with warm soapy water

Step 2 Disinfect:
Use a toner to disinfect the area if you really can't stand the smell/effect of hydrogen peroxide, this will get rid of any left over bacteria. (this step will sting a lot but is necessary)

Step 3:
Apply polysporin (neosporin will also work), this stuff is amazing and cuts healing time down to a fraction of normal healing time without it. Because polysporin is antibiotic it helps prevent bacteria growth and allows the body to perform under very little stress. If this is for a cut or you don't plan on going anywhere apply a bandaid too.

  • I don't recommend putting make-up on over polysporin because it doesn't work trust me.

  • A great way to revitalize your skin is to apply polysporin to your entire face this will feel really gross but will give you the most amazing glow.

  • Another thing I recommend on a slightly unrelated note is to apply vaseline to your skin before swimming if you want to protect it, I found this out when I started swimming every day before class and my skin took a serious beating from it. The Vaseline helps put up a barrier between your skin and the harsh pool chemicals used to maintain chlorine and water pH balance. Also rinsing yourself off before entering the pool is a must so you don't absorb as much chlorine.
